Caring for the environment is very important to us at RichmondHomeShopper.com and Skye Bruce Properties. Doing the right thing for the environment can be as easy as screwing in a light bulb. (Just make it a compact fluorescent one!) Even small changes are important.
Skye Bruce Properties, the official REALTOR of RichmondHomeShopper.com does things everyday to help our environment. We try to conduct as much of our business online as possible instead of traditional ink on paper. Online communications and marketing is not only more efficient and environmentally friendly, it’s more informative. There is only so much information you can include in a brochure, post card or newsletter, however online opens up media options such as audio and video and the access to information is infinite.
We do understand that traditional print pieces such as brochures, newsletters, mailings etc. are still a necessity in the real estate industry, so when we do produce printed materials we now use recycled paper whenever possible.
We are now offering our clients green marketing alternatives for their homes.
1- Clients may choose to market their homes entirely digitally without printed materials. Curbside for sale signs will direct home shoppers online instead of having a brochure box.
2- Clients may choose to have Web Cards on their curbside for sale sign instead of brochures. These small Web Cards printed on recycled paper give potential homebuyers the online address where they will find all the property information usually shown on a brochure, plus additional photos, virtual tours, floor plans and more.
3- Clients may choose to have both a web card and a brochure on their curbside for sale sign to give home shoppers the choice of a “green” option.
For any of these “green” listing options we have a special placard on the curbside sign explaining how we are trying to help the environment through our responsible use of printed material.
One brochure equals about 12 Web Cards. Just think of all the paper, landfill waste and trees we could save if the Real Estate industry would follow our lead with this initiative alone. However small, every little bit we can do helps, because in the end, it all adds up!
